About us

Hello, we are you hosts, Rob and Monique and can be found either behind the bar or running around waiting on you. We have now been at the Crown for 14 glorious months but so you can get to know us a bit better, below is a small bit of history about us so you know who we are before you even walk through the front door.

A bit about Rob...

Well ... since the ripe old age of 18 I have been working in the hospitality industry in one way or another, be it cleaning toilets, getting people drunk or running the whole show! After leaving New Zealand at the tender age of 22 and moving to Australia, I continued down this career path but with the added bonus that it was always sunny and warm! After being here for over 4 years I now call these 'sunny' shores home. In the natural progression of my working life, now 13 years after working for other people, I can now say that I am my own boss... except for Monique!

A bit about Monique...

This is a totally different career for me as for the last 7 years I have been a Personal Assistant, so you know if its a private function that you are after you are in good hands.

Both of us are from small towns and after living and working in bigger cities, we are really enjoying the peacefulness of the countryside and of course the clean air.

We cant wait to meet you and apologise in advance as it may take a short time to remember your name but we will be quicker at remembering what you drink!
